With Energia's Phase One (Mechanical Field Testing) under way, the first
systems have been met with incredible enthusiasm. Since a very
noteworthy debut with Fluge in Spain, the E15 found its way to the
Stadium Gelora Bung Karno, in Senyan Jakarta for back to back shows with
Bad Religion and Linkin Park. Media reported the performance were the
best sounding concerts in Jakarta's history.
Eighth Day Sound from Highland Heights, Ohio, then took the rig out with
Snake Newton mixing Duran Duran's North American tour. Snake
commented: "The mid range definition and low mid punch is incredible."
The Scorpions also hit the road in France on MPM's E15 system this
month. It was reported that the French stage hands were very
unhappy. They stated that Adamson's Autolock® rigging is so simple
that it will put them out of a job.
In the UK, Wigwam Acoustics provided their new system for Lord of the
Dance. Wigwam will also send the rig out in December for the upcoming
tour with The Saturdays.
As of November 1st, the global team of Energia Beta users includes, Big
Daddy Productions in Indonesia, Eighth Day Sound Systems in the USA/UK,
Fluge in Spain, MPM in France, SLS in France, and Wigwam Acoustics in
the UK. We will announce two additional Beta Partners in the USA,
and one new beta partner in Australia, before the end of the year.

Don't forget about the LITTLE boxes...
With all the buzz surrounding Energia, it's easy to ignore what's
happening in the installation market. Our Exclusive Distributor in
Cyprus, ProSonic Audio-Lights, recently installed a Point Series system
in the Joko Restaurant. The system designed featured Point
Series Cabinets throughout the venue, consisting 8 x Point 8's and 4 x
Point 115 subs for Low frequency extension. The Adamson M Series
Processor was used for control and the entire rig was powered with Lab
Gruppen C Series amplification.
The Joko Restaurant does not close the doors after dinner. The
trendy restaurant doubles as a lounge/club into the night.
Director of Prosonic Audio-Lights, Christos Chrysnathou, comments "The
Joko installation was really a simple installation. The owner was asking
for the highest possible fidelity audio, and after various demos were
held with major brands, he was impressed with the Adamson option.
Due to low ceiling heights in some areas in the club, the final
design featured point 8's with point 115 subs, resulting in magnificent
sound even in very high SPL...which is needed as the place starts
rocking after 11pm and continues until sunrise!"

A Sneak peek of the Adamson AUTOLOCK® Rigging System
Sometimes in our industry, you get the sense that some of the "new
products" are simply the same old products re-packaged. A square
line array box? A two way 15" line array? This is
reminiscent of the Voice of the Theatre isn't it?
At the end of the day, you are left with the impression that these
companies don't invest that much in their R&D, they simply ride the
wave of available technology and past popularity, and then apply some of
the modern elements into their concepts.
